Having almost 20 years of wedding photography experience, I realised some time ago that the best way for me to get what I need from a wedding is to let you get what YOU want from a wedding. And if we’re on the same page...that’s to enjoy it!

I’m not there to create the day; you’re there to do that. I just bend the light and choose the moment, creating some heart warming and beautifully unique images that will have your heart bursting with the memories.

So, my one overriding piece of advice is just to enjoy your time at the wedding. PARTY! :-D Let me worry about the photographs and I’ll guide you through.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Weddings are as individual as the couples who marry, and that’s a good thing. Whilst no two weddings are the same, here, broadly speaking, is what to expect from the photography process.

The last thing any bride needs is a photographer adding to the stress. Nearly all my time on the day is spent in the background, creating my magic on the fly. I’m there to help you out. You can think of me as a second wedding co-ordinator I guess...a less bossy one! :-D

The main part that couples have a little trepidation about, in my experience is the ‘couple shoot’. I come across shy couples all the time who don’t usually enjoy being in front of the camera - it’s honestly not a problem. All that matters is that you’re enjoying yourself and the rest will flow. I just gently guide you as to what to do and where to go to get the best out of the photographs. Nearly all my couples are surprised at how easy this section of the day is and how much they enjoy it. Not to mention the nice breather from the pace of the day and a chance to see the venue grounds!

Group photographs are tackled with the aim of peak efficiency so that you have the maximum amount of time to enjoy yourselves.

And if we’re lucky enough to get a sunset - you better believe I’ll be on it! But remember, you’re the boss. I consider it my job to make amazing images for you and I keep my eye open for all opportunities, but if your groove is to sit back and just enjoy your time with your friends, then that’s more than ok with me :-)
