Highlight Films

Cinematic, impressionistic memories

Relentlessly watchable! These things will blow your socks off - the perfect accompaniment to your wedding photographs. I would say that this is the most anticipated part of the wedding photography for the clients, and the best received. Quirky, emotional, and downright fun.

Highlight Film FAQ

Why should we choose a highlight film?

There is no better way to experience your wedding after it has happened, for either you or your guests. To witness the tears of your groom, the flow of your wedding dress, or the twirling flower girls - there is so much to capture that you probably won’t see on the day. A highlight film, in conjunction with your photographs is absolutely the best way to re-live the experience.

Will you bring another person to film (who we will have to feed on the day!)?

Nope, just me. Because I’m already there taking still photographs, it’s an extremely fluid experience with no extra hassle. For the most part, you’ll have no idea whether I’m filming or shooting stills.

How long are the films?

Roughly 3 to 5 minutes long. A perfect, bite-sized piece of quirky art. My editing style means that you will probably see something new each time you watch. And not being a 2-hour epic slog, your friends and family will love it too!

I like the idea, but I hate the sound of my own voice

Not a problem. The only audio will be the soundtrack, which is specifically chosen to suit the pace, energy and length of the footage.

Can I choose the music used?

Unfortunately not, as a lot of work goes into choosing the right track to suit the visuals. The right piece of music will really bring the final piece to life, and will quite probably wring tears from your face!

Will you also record the ceremony and speeches?

Whilst I do record parts of the ceremony and speeches, there will be no voice audio. Therefore, if you are looking for complete recordings of any part of the day then you will also need a wedding videographer. I work alongside top Scottish Wedding Filmmakers all the time and I’m more than happy to recommend some if you need a hand!
