Barony Castle Pagan wedding | Wedding Photography | Ally + Dave

Now, I do love a wedding venue which has access to a nearby forest or wooded areas to create some evocative and nature-based photographs for the couple. What's better than this? A wedding IN the woods! BOOM 100 points ;-)

Ally contacted me before she had even booked her wedding venue as she'd seen my affinity for really beautiful outdoor wedding scenery in the Scottish countryside. She works as part of the forestry commission and the outdoor nature photographs were really important to her.  She eventually settled on the beautiful Barony Castle in Peebles, which houses an awesome outdoor altar on the grounds. Not only that, but they held a Pagan wedding ceremony! This was the first I've ever seen and I have to say I loved it - lovely floral head dresses for the ladies in the bridal party (and matching lead for the dog!) made this every inch the lush forest wedding I had imagined. 

We also managed to wrap things up in time to let the guests catch most of the World Cup game that day. I aim to please! ;-)
